Christmas Eve 2003
Feeling a bit down today. This will be my first Christmas without Mum and Dad and it's hurting. Rang Peter - I think he's feeling the same but didn't voice it. Was going over to KF for Christmas Day but have now changed it and they'll collect me at 9 a.m. for the Boxing Day party. I think that'll be best as I would notice the "family" ties too much for my own good. I'm looking forward to the party as it won't be such an intimate gathering.

Wednesday, 3 December 2003 (11.10 pm Melbourne Time):
My very first entry on the very first page of my very first blog - at the age of 56! A lovely vintage though, so don't spill a drop. Melbourne copped an absolute downpour today - the most rain, all at once, in about a hundred years! We've been on water restrictions for quite some time now so this may be of help where needed. Hope so.
